Pontoon Ladders
Pontoon ladders mount to the rear, side or front of a pontoon boat and make boarding from the water straightforward, particularly for older swimmers and children. Rear-mount ladders are the most common and hang off the transom or swim platform; under-deck models fold up out of the way when you are under way. Step count is set by how far the deck sits above the waterline — most pontoons need four or five steps to put the bottom rung comfortably below the surface.
- Wide-step models give a deeper tread that is far easier on bare feet
- Removable and telescoping ladders stow in a locker between trips
- Stainless steel resists salt; anodized aluminum is lighter and costs less
