Lifting Dock Ladders

Retractable dock ladders lift clear of the water and lock in the raised position. That keeps the submerged steps out of the weeds and away from ice, and it stops the ladder becoming a boarding point when nobody is around. The trade-off against a stationary ladder is a little more hardware and a little more dock space.
